A man in his late 20s was arrested by the Guardia Civil, suspected of having stabbed another man in a bar in Padul.

The incident took place on the night of  Sunday the 15th. Witness accounts say that the victim approached the alleged agressor inside the bar, who then broke a glass on his head.

A fight began resulting in the accused reportedly stabbing the victim in the stomach. He was about to stab him again but other customers intervened and stopped him. The accused then fled the scene.

Somebody called the Guardia Civil who went around to the establishment to get details of what had happened from eye witnesses.

The victim had already been taken to the PTS General Hospital in Granada due to the seriousness of his injuries.

The Guardia Civil in Armilla took over the investigation and managed to identify the alleged aggressor. They finally tracked him down and arrested him, for attempted murder.

Finally, the aggressor had also suffered injuries during the incident, having cut his hand when he broke the glass on the victim.
