Double Arrest in Dúrcal

The Guardia Civil arrested two people; a 48-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, as the alleged perpetrators of an armed robbery in Dúrcal.

The robbery occurred on November the 22nd. A man was driving through the town of Dúrcal when a vehicle cut him off, blocking his path.

At that moment, two people got out of the car and approached the victim’s vehicle. After threatening him, they stole his high-end mobile and wallet. They then got back into their car and drove away.

After the victim filed a complaint with the Guardia-Civil unit, ROCA based in Armilla, they took charge of the investigation. Based on the description provided by the victim and after inspecting the scene, officers quickly obtained leads regarding the possible perpetrators: two known criminals from the area with extensive criminal records for similar offences.

To corroborate their suspicions, the Guardia Civil reviewed video footage from security cameras in the area, which allowed them to confirm their initial hypothesis.

Thus, on the 1st of last month, the police arrested these two individuals as the alleged perpetrators of an armed robbery. The investigation remains open to recover the stolen mobile phone.
