Although winter hasn't officially begun, the typical weather of that season has certainly showed up in the province of Granada.
The Spanish Meteorological Agency, Aemet has activated a yellow warning for snowfall this Sunday in the north east of the province, in Guadix and Baza.

But they won’t be alone because Aemet says that a total of 48 municipalities will be having a white Christmas, all of which are in the Granada plateau (altiplano):
Alamedilla, Albuñán, Aldeire, Alicún de Ortega, Alquife, Baza, Beas de Guadix, Benalúa, Benamaurel, Caniles, Castilléjar, Castril, Cogollos de Guadix, Cortes de Baza, Cortes y Graena, Cúllar, Darro, Dehesas de Guadix, Diezma, Dólar, Ferreira, Fonelas, Freila, Galera, Gobernador, Gor, Gorafe, Guadix, Huélago, Huéneja, Huéscar, Jérez del Marquesado, La Calahorra, Lanteira, Lugros, Marchal, Orce, Pedro Martínez, La Peza, Polícar, Puebla de Don Fadrique, Purullena, Torre-Cardela, Villanueva de las Torres, Zújar, Valle del Zalabí, Morelábor, and Cuevas del Campo.
The warning for the Guadix and Baza areas will be in effect from 12:00h until midnight. A snow accumulation of three centimetres is expected within 24 hours, with accumulations mainly occurring above 1,200m, though the snow level is expected to drop to between 900 and 1,000m by the end of the day.
Considering that Dúrcal and especially Nigüelas are just over the 900m mark, that could mean snow there, as well.
Of course, the upper Alpujarra Granadina could expect snow, too, especially Trevélez, Capileira and Bubión, although no official warnings have been activated for these locations. As for the city of Granada, if you’re planning on visiting, Aemet forecasts temperatures ranging between 2°C and 10°C with a 100% probability of rain and high winds in the afternoon.
