There was a bit of a hullabaloo on an Easyjet flight from Málaga to Gatwick, London because an elderly woman was embarked in a wheelchair... dead.
Other passengers claimed that the victim’s family were holding her head up, explaining that she was “tired.” However, the crew became aware that there was possibly a dead woman onboard and didn’t take off.

This happened on the Thursday the 18th on an Easyjet flight with a take-off time of 10.30h. The flight ended up being delayed 11 hours, 15 minutes while the Guardia Civil and medical officials examined the woman.
According to one fellow passenger, “We all got on the plane and the last people to board was this lady and a couple of other people,” adding, “She was in an aisle seat and slumped over. Everybody was saying that she looked dead and were asking, ‘should she be on the plane?'”
Not long after the plane started to move across the tarmac the captain appeared and said that they had to return to the terminal area owing to a medical emergency. Everybody had to get off leaving only the victim onboard with the Guardia Civil etc.
Editorial comment: if she were dead before boarding, how did she get through the customs and passport controls? Now if it had been Ryanair, nobody would have been surprised, as they might have just put her in the hold and sold the extra seat, perhaps.
