Lottery Wins Lands in Almuñécar

ONCE's Cuponazo draw held on Friday the 9th of May dropped 400,000 euros in Almuñécar, of the 1,360,000 euros spread out between the provinces of Granada, Sevilla, Huelva and Cádiz.

Ticket seller for ONCE, Patricia Rodríguez, sold ten decimos of this winning number, whereas her colleagues in the towns of Carmona and Osuna in Sevilla, Moguer in Huelva sold tickets worth a total of 80,000 euros, whilst in Chiclana de La Frontera in Cádiz and Herrera in Sevilla ticket holders in each of these municipalities won a total of 40,000 euros.

The ONCE Cuponazo (Big Ticket) comes out each Friday and costs three euros, which is the same amount for the Lottery Nacional that comes out on a Thursday.

If you get the all five numbers (it the correct order, obviously) and the right series number, you walk away with 6-million euros. If you have all five numbers but not the winning series number you get 40,000 euros, which is not to be sniffed at — there are 134 of these 40k prices.

From there it drops quite a bit as if you get the first four numbers or the last four numbers you win 500 euros, which will buy you quite a few beers or a night in disreputable company… and we don’t mean in police cells.

Then it drops to 50 euros if you get the first three numbers or the last three numbers, dropping again to six euros for the first two or last two, and three euros for just the first or last number and mental round of applause for getting your investment back.

If you are criminally optimistic you can always play the Eurojackpot, which is sold in 18 different European countries but your chances of winning the ten million prize is about as unlikely as the Conservatives ever getting back in into power in the UK in the next decade.
