Palm Trees Removed

Work to remove the palm trees around the new Municipal Market concluded yesterday.

These palm trees, which were along Calle Sánchez Chaves and Callejón del Virgo, will be transplanted, assured the Town Hall.

“What we are doing is renewing the market’s palm trees. The old ones will be replanted in different parts of the municipality, as is already being done,” stated Carlos Ferrón, Councilor for Parks and Gardens.

The other trees that Councillor Carlos Ferrón referred to were the ones being replanted in the Costa Banana area, along side the N-340.

“The new market will feature Cuban royal palm trees around its perimeter, to enhance the beauty of the surroundings,” added Councillor Ferrón.
