One of the most popular doctors' surgeries on the coast was the Almuñécar Clinic on the Paseo del Altillo for decades until it closed down this year.

However, since February, Doctor Axel E. Thieke, whose practice it was, has been attending to patients on Wednesdays at Clínica Nieuwpoort in Almuñécar on the Paseo San Cristobal, right next to Chinasol.
