It hasn't stopped raining since the Jana wet-front arrived and will stay with us most of the week but two people decided to walk in the mountains around Capileira on Friday.
A couple in their 20s ended up with hypothermia and had to be rescued by the Guardia Civil, moutain-rescue team (GREIM).

The team was mobilised after receiving a call out from the emergency coordination centre, 112. They in turn had received an SOS from these hikers who were out on a walking route around the Pico Mulhacén, within the municipality of Capileira.
The couple made the call from the Puerto Molina as one of them couldn’t go on as she had difficulty walking.
It was a 5-man team (which doesn’t necessarily mean they were all men) that set out, leaving their 4x4s at the Hoya del Portillo and began their ascent on foot – there was too much snow for them to go any further in their vehicles.
When they came across the man and woman, they gave them dry clothing as neither of them wore the necessary clothing for these weather conditions. The male was in a better shape but the woman had to be brought down on a stretcher sledge as she was suffering from hypothermia and frostbite.
Once they arrived in Capileira, they put the couple in their 4x4s and drove them to the Centro de Salud in Órgiva.
The whole rescue mission took six hours.
