On the evening of Monday the 18th there was a housefire on Calle Marcelino Camacho in Salobreña.

The local fire service who investigated the fire suspect that it was cause by an electrical appliance in the kitchen.

The Motril Fire Department, Policía Local, Protección Civil, Guardia Civil and an ambulance were called out but fortunately the latter was not needed.

The police did have to evacuate, temporarily the apartment block as as well cordon off the street so that emergency vehicles could have unhindered access.
