A Fortnight of Fires

If you follow Infoca on Twitter, you have to distinguish between incendios and conatos. The latter are small fires that have been caught early enough so that they do not develop into the former.

An incendio, especially when it has been done deliberate, might have several conatos, to increase the chances of creating a major fire.

With a quick count of Infoca interventions from the 15th of August until the time of writing (24th August)
you can see just how many fires were caught before they became major hill fires thanks to the very rapid response of Infoca units all across Andalucia.

Almeria: Alsodux, Rágol, Lúcar
Cádiz: Arcos de La Frontera, San José del Valle, El Puerto de Santa María
Córdoba: Villaviciosa De Córdoba, Hornachuelos, Cañete De Las Torres,
