It's easy to get distracted and go slightly over the speed limit, which is why you're allowed a small margin and not get fined, However...
A biker on the Camino de Caicena in the city of Granada clocked up 106 kph on a stretch of road with a speed limit of only 30 kph.
The 36-year-old rider was coming from the Huétor Vega direction on a straight, downhill section of the said road.
He will go before a magistrate today where he could face between three and six months’ imprisonment (automatically suspended), 31 to 90 days community work or a quite hefty fine.
If he is a repeated offender, however, he could have his motorbike turned into a flower pot and his testicles removed… just joking!

Yes they will Trevor. The N340 is known to be a very badly designed road. Especially for bikers and overtaking cars. Money from EU budgets should be spent on straightening out those nasty bends. Like they have by Alfa Mar. A section of straight road. Blocked at start and finish.
Some bikers do eventually pay a price. Never their fault. It’s the blooming N340.
Any chance that the mass bikers who regularly exceed 100kph up and down the N340 between Taramay and Salobreña on the weekend will ever be held to account?
