The summer might look like it's over but summer events in the Axarquía they aren't, thanks to the coming air display in Torre del Mar this weekend.
Between the 8th and 10th of September this Eastern, Costa-de-Sol, town will hold its VIII edition of its annual Festival Aéreo Internacional. With a turn out last year of over 300,000 spectators, you’ll need no more assurance of its popularity.
Forty aircraft will participate with top, international acrobatics pilots, amongst them, the World Aerobatics Champion, Ramón Alonso.
Furthermore, for the first time, Switzerland will be sending its top aerobatics team, (Patrouille de Suisse) according to the event director, Pablo González. (See accompanying photo.)
Modern jets (Eurofighter), specialised aerobatic aircraft (Laser Z-300), as well as historic ones, will entertain spectators during the event. There’s even a hybrid, eco-aeroplane powered both by electricity and ‘Green Fuel.’
