This morning I spoke with the Guardia Civil officer in charge of the hunt for the missing man, who has now spent two nights without being located.
The Guardia Civil have used helicopters, drones, tracker dogs and volunteers to comb the area but at 13.30h this afternoon, there was still no sign of Ivan, the 42-year-old man from Nigüelas, who was reported missing on Monday morning.
According to one Facebook source, he is resident of New York and is a university professor. I have contacted this source and hope to receive more information about the missing person.
On the day of his disappearance he was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket with a grey sweat shirt underneath. He is approximately 1.70 metres tall, and if the photo is recent, has a beard.
Anybody who has any information because they think they may have seen him, please phone: 649 952 957 or 617 126 909.

Junghoon: Yes – I am putting it up now
Do we have updates on Ivan?
Please share any updates on Ivan here. I will keep checking updates out. I am confident that he will come back home safely as he is a strong person.
This is so incredibly sad, I’m good friends with this sister. I hope he’s found well soon. It’s cold in Granada at night this time of year.
Thanks for the update, Martin.
Junghoon: The Guardia Civil are still out in the square where they have set up a tent. Now with dusk having fallen, search operations for today will probably go on hold until tomorrow, first light.
Any updates on Ivan yet?
