A hospital in France is trying to track down the relatives of a patient in their care, who is originally from Ogíjares in the area of Vega de Granada.

The patient, Manuel Megías Fernández, was born in Ogíjares on the 9th of March, 1944 but has long been a resident in France.

The only thing that they know about his relatives is that his parents were called Francisco and Encarnación.

The Ogíjares Policía Local explained that the French hospital had contacted the Town Hall, asking them to spread the information around town because they needed to inform his next of kin about his state of health.

Anybody who might know him, or of him, should contact the Área de Padrón in Ogíjares Town Hall or the municipal police.

Editorial note: we have online readers from this town, which we discovered when we were printing the weekly Covid numbers in 2020/21, so there is a chance that they have Spanish neighbours who might know the man.
