Not Again!

Another person suffered a fall and had to be rescued from the Junta de Los Ríos in Otívar, which required the use of the Guardia Civil helicopter again.

COS Junta de Los Rios Rescue 400x250The accident occurred around 13.00h when a group of abseilers contacted 112 to say that one of their number had suffered a fall coming down one of the waterfalls in the upper part of the ravine, injuring her back.

The Grupo de Rescate Especial de Intervención en Montaña (GREIM) were called out, winched her out and flew her to the Parque Tecnológico de La Salud in Granada.

Editorial comment: the mountain rescue team might as well camp at the Junta de Los Ríos during the summer and just wait for the next adventurer to twist an ankle, fracture a leg or damage their back – it would save on air hours and fuel costs.

Would it not be cheaper at this point, for the police to just build a cablecar?

Patrick: Lost in Carrefour! 😆 Well, admittedly, it would be a shame if they were reduced to hoovering over at your place – a cleaning lady is cheaper.

Oh do play the game Martin. Your ex R.A.F.
If they weren’t salvaging persons from falls or lost in Carrefour. They would have to be off the coast by Salobrena. Looking for imaginary persons in a lifeboat. Or hoovering over my place. Stopping my nude bathing.
Otherwise how can they get it right when the big one arrives. Practice makes perfect.
