The Asociación Amigos del Mar Costa Tropical has convoked a protest tomorrow, Saturday the 27th, at 10.00h in La Herradura.
All those that have felt the negative impact of jet skis or just feel strongly about it are invited to participate.
The protest will take the form of a slow march from Hotel Peña Parda up to the beach roundabout where a manifesto will be read out entitled, Por una Costa Tranquila.
The protest is backed by the Ecologistas en Acción, who will accompany the march in their yacht, Diosa Maat, sailing parallel with the beach.
To date, 1,800 signatures have been collected on a petition that urges the Town Hall to exercise its responsibility by prohibiting the use of municipal launch ramps to jet-ski users.
They also call for the Town Hall to limit the use of these craft belonging to private companies that hire them out.
