The Real Club Náutico in Motril Port has organised a Treasure Hunt that will take place at the beginning of next month, on the 3rd and 4th.
You don’t have to be a member of the club to participate but you do have to put your name forward before the 31st of this month, explained Antonio Gutiérrez, who is the Chairman of the Real Club Náutico de Motril.
The event, which has been held every year (except for the Covid years) since 2003, has many sponsors this year so the prize for finding the treasure will be well worth it, as well as plenty of fun for the family.
Pepe García Fuentes, who is the politician who landed the job as Chairman of the Port Authorities, described the Treasure Hunt as one of the many links that exist between Motril and its port.
To track down the hidden treasure it will require brain output, strategy and a little knowlegde of the lay out of the port. Participants, following clues will find a series of cunningly hidden envelopes, containing a riddle for the next step – you can’t go on to the next leg until you have handed back the previous piece of paper with its clue, so that others can follow you.
Anyway, beats getting drunk and fighting with a palm tree whilst your wife denies that she has every seen you before in her life.
