Almuñécar will be holding the V Triatlón Cross Sexitano Nº387 at the beginning of next month in the Taramay Parque El Pozuelo-Pepe Matíasse.

The event will be on the 3rd, starting at 17.00h and the winners will qualify for the Copa Andalucía de Triatlón Cross. The event is organised by the Club Nazarí de Almuñécar and will have the backing of the Mancomunidad Costa Tropical and the Federación Andaluza de Triatlón, and sponsored by local businesses.

The race will include a swimming leg of 1,000 metros, setting off from Playa El Tesorillo with competitors making their way around the point to Playa El Pozuelo. Then there’s a cycle leg (BTT) covering a route of 22 kilometres, setting out from Tarmay and heading for Ítrabo, which has an ascent of some 800 metres.

The final leg will be a 6km-running race around the Parque Mediterráneo, which lies between Urbanización La Galera and Playa Cabria.

Categories include: Junior, Sub23, Absoluta, Veteranos 1,2 & 3 and Local, all with male and female sub categories.
