Yes it's spring and yes it was warm yesterday but today it's back to winter with snow in north-eastern granada.

The Spanish meteorological agency warns drivers of a snowfall (3cm) today in the Guadix and Baza area between 1,000 and 1,200 metres, should you be thinking of venturing up there today.

There’s also a light snow fall expected in Trevélez in the Alpujarra.

Meanwhile down on the Costa Tropical, if you haven’t already noticed,strong winds with gust up to 70kph and waves of between three and four metres, will await you.

This adverse weather is only expected to last a day or two max and then we are back to spring.

There’s a Spanish expression that goes: hasta el 40 de Mayo, no te quites el sayo, which roughly translates for, keep your coat handy until the 40th of May.
