Documentaries on Protected Areas

MOT Buxus Nature Documentaries OnLThe documentaries are on the Zonas de Especial Conservacíon (ZECs), the Acantilados y Fondos Marinos de Punta de la Mona, the Tesorillo-Salobreña, the Acantilados y Fondos Marinos de Calahonda-Castell de Ferro and the Sierra de Gualchos-Castell de Ferro.

Also included are the Paraje Natural de Maro-Cerro Gordo, the Monumento Natural de los Peñones de San Cristóbal and the Reserva Natural Concertada Charca de Suárez.

Each of the documentaries last between only five and ten minutes which are basically a guided tour along the footpaths between these areas, with the footage varying between aerial shots and even underwater ones. The documentaries are narrated by specialists in environmental education.

Fernando Alcalde from the Asociación Buxus, explained that the underlying idea is to infuse knowledge on the natural heritage that we have here and the things that are endangering them, such as invasive species and in some cases, human encroachment.
