No Alcohol Sold after Six

The Junta decided yesterday that no establishment will be able to sell alcohol after 18.00h as a new anti-pandemic measure.

AND PM Juanma Moreno OnLThis was just one of the decisions reached in the meeting of the health committee yesterday in Córdoba.

Another decision taken was to reduce the number of days in quarantine down from two weeks to just one for those municipalities with perimeter restrictions and those with their nonessential businesses closed down.

“We have approved the closure of the hostelry sector at 18.00h and as from that time it is forbidden to sell alcohol to avoid it being consumed in the open by public,” announced the PM on his Twitter account.

As for homes for the elderly, visits will be permitted, as well as residents being allowed out, as long as at least seven days have passed since the second inoculation.

However, these visits and outings will remain restricted in homes within a municipality with more that 1,000 per 100,000 infections. This also applies to the relative making a visit from a town under lockdown.

Things that have not changed are: the curfew from 22.00h to 06.00h; closure of the regional border and the provincial ones within it; no more than four people in gatherings, including in bars & restaurants at a table; and finally, the closure of the hostelry and comercial sector at 18.00h

Editorial comment: logically, the acohol sales restrictions will also include supermarkets and gasolineras.
