A man in his mid 50s who set fire to himself on Friday outside a law court in Cartagena (Murcia) died the next day despite receiving immediate, ICU-level care.

Why the 65-year-old man decided do this, is not entirely clear but it seems that it was in protest over a judicial decision taken against him.
The incident took place on Calle Ángel Bruna, in front of the said law court. According to the emergency coordination centre, they received several calls warning of the presence of a man who was threatening to set fire to himself.
Before the centre could despatch a police unit, the man had already carried out his threat. Fortunately, law-court staff had fire extinguishers handy just in case he went through with it and put him out immediately.
When the Policía Local did arrive, the victim was still conscious and was taken into the law court for immediate First-Aid treatment, pending the arrival of an ambulance. When it did arrive, he was rushed to the Hospital Universitario Virgen de La Arrixaca, given the seriousness of his burns

Because you age pretty quickly when you’re on fire? Alternatively, could be a typo (hit a 6 instead of a 5 in the following paragraph). Gonna go with the former 😉
At the top of the article you say ‘A man in his mid 50s who set fire to himself ‘ then you say in the next paragraph ‘Why the 65-year-old man decided do this’. ??????
