Asking for It

SPN Night Check Point, Guardia Civil OnLA 61-year-old driver was stopped in the early hours of yesterday in the province of Lugo, Galicia – it would have been better for him if they hadn’t.

Not only was he well over the limit as far as alcohol went, but he also had no vehicle insurance, no valid driving licence and his ITV was out of date. But that’s not all; the vehicle was still in the name of the previous owner.

Now, during the day, there would have been a chance that he might have got by undetected, but we’re in the middle of a pandemic with a nationwide night curfew… and he was out driving in the middle of the night.

Darwin Awards, anybody?
