The Sindicato Andaluz de Bomberos has taken a case before the Regional Supreme Court concerning the employee, selection process in Motril.
According to the fire-service union, the choice of the members of the selection board, as well as the tests carried out, are irregular.
No person can sit on a board if they have any connection with an aspirant (both where favouritism or animosity are concerned) which appears to have been the case, according to the workers union Spokesperson.
The union claims that the Chairman of the Selection Committee has overseen systematic irregularities in the selection process.
In short, the Chairman of the Selection Committe has participated in the selection process when his connection with certain aspirants are well known.
Editorial comment: in other words, the fire-service union claims that management figures within the Motril Fire Station have been bending the rules to favour or deny the supposed impartial selection of candidates for posts of responsibility within the fire station; i.e., nespotism.
