La Caleta suffered a TV black out yesterday after thieves stole lengths of copper cables from the installations that provide TV coverage.

The Councillor for the Caleta-La Guardia, Ignacio Trujillo, explained that an act of theft had vandalised the electricity supply for the aerial, leaving the area without a TV signal. However, the situation was soon rectified later on during the day.

The Town Hall has apologised to the residents of these two urban nuclei, assuring that the Guardia Civil are looking into the act of vandalism and theft.
