The Asociaciones de Comercio de Almuñécar/Herradura is going all out to boost sales in the municipality shops by raffling a car!
The initiative is backed by the Town Hall and is part of an autumn campaign to make the sector more dynamic in order to attract customers.
The actual raffle will take place on the 22nd of December in the Plaza de la Constitución, explained the Councillor for Commerce, Francisco Robles Rivas.
To this end, the Town Hall and the Asociaciones de Comerciantes de Almuñécar y La Herradura held a meeting in the town-hall building with the representatives of local shops, Remedios Rico, Valeríe Doyen and Bernardo García.
The Town Council put 60,000 euros behind the push to help out local shops and businesses during these trying times produced by the pandemic.
From now until the day of the raffle, anybody who makes a purchase in one of the local shops will receive raffle tickets which they will leave with the shopkeeper (together with the name and contact details of the customer) so that they can be included in the raffle draw.
This is not the first time that a car has been the prize in a raffle of this nature, as this was the case of summer 2013, which was very successful. For this reason, the idea has been resuscitated for this autumn.
