Only One Beach Closure

ALM Playa San Cristobal JM de HaroWe have just had the first weekend of obligatory mask use on our beaches which passed, thankfully, almost without incident.

Only Motril had to close one of its beaches, Playa Granada, and that was for only half an hour, which didn’t stop the majority of beachgoers enjoying perfect beachweather throughout Sunday.

Over in Salobreña at the Peñón end, the controversial habit of reserving space by staking a claim with a beach brolly meant that some had to be removed to avoid over crowding.

In Almuñécar and La Herradura, it was the busiest day of the summer thanks to the temperature but there were only minor hiccups that were soon smoothed out.

    great news!

on the downside we counted 20-35 boats and yatchs at the Punta de la Mona end of La Herradura bay and beach. That end of the beach is now not crowded. Why? Word has it from locals that the poop and toilet paper from the boats is a problem, What is the local government doing about this concern?
