The Motril trading estate, el Vadillo, has entered Phase Two of its revamp project and accordingly had a whole gaggle of politicians posing for photos down there.
Leaving aside the comments made by the Mayor and lesser deities, the plan consists of overhauling about a kilometre of the thoroughfare, erecting 24 lampposts, laying pavements, sorting out the subterranean infrastructure, as well as widening the road so that each lane is at least 3.5 metres wide.
There will also be a bicycle lane and a more ordered arrangement for parking on the vega side.
This should all take about 10 months so as this is one of the principal entry points into Motril, alternative routes will be found.
