Six Romanians were involved in a street brawl in Almuñécar on the 22nd, resulting in three arrested on the spot and another one who later turned himself in.

One of those involved was injured when somebody stabbed him with pruning shears and had to be rushed to the main hospital in Granada.

The incident took place around 21.30h in the Plaza Doctor Alvárez, involving five Romanians, residents of Salobreña and the sixth one residing in Motril, yet they arranged to meet in Almuñécar.

It was the Policía Local who first intervened, taking four of those involved to their police station. A fifth one was allowed to go as it was demonstrated that he had not participated in the fight. Later on that night the six suspect turned himself in at the Salobreña Guardia Civil post.

Although the investigation being carried out is not complete, it is suspected that it was a settling of old scores.
