The company that manages the water supply for the Mancomunidad de la Costa Tropical, Aguas y Servicios, shows that water consumption during Easter was down.
Hardly a breath-taking surprise, but…
Almuñécar and Salobreña were well down on Semana Santa, 2019, with the former reflecting a 32% drop and the later showing a percentage close to 19% less.
However, it is interesting because town halls have been saying that they will be looking at the individual water consumption of holiday homes to see if they were occupied, so although there was very littler difference between a normal week and Easter on the coast, some second-home owners will be in for a big surprise, perhaps.
