A man in his 80s suffered a road accident whilst riding his scooter on the N-340, more or less above Cotobro in Almuñécar.

The accident occurred around 10.10h just past the Restaurante Mirador. The 85-year-old victim after coming off his bike slid under the crash barrier and fell several metres onto the houses below the road level.

The Almuñécar fire service and the Guardia Civil took part in the rescue, the former bringing the victim up to the road where the ambulance waited to take him to Hospital Santa Ana and the latter to direct the traffic around the crash site.
