The Salobreña municipal police arrested three men, suspected of having been behind a cortijo break-in in the Camino de las Algaidas area of Motril.
The three men, aged between 39 and 45 and are all from Eastern Europe, allegedly broke into the cortijo during Monday night/Tuesday morning.
The police were tipped off by neighbours who had seen three men dressed in dark clothing and their faces covered, loitering on the said country lane.
A Police patrol was despatched and drew up in time to see them jump over a garden fence and run off, spooked by the police presence.
The police gave chase and managed to arrest them. They were caught with stolen items from the said cortijo on them as well as knives (weapons).
