There was a bit of consternation yesterday when a lorry impacted against the underside of an A-44 bridge where it bypasses the city of Granada.

The lorry’s load was too high to get under the bridge where the GR-3303 (vega road) passes beneath it. This is the junction that is near the Parque de las Ciencias.

Despite parts of the underside of the bridge breaking off and the rupture of pipes that pass under the bridge, the structure was not seriously damaged.

Obviously, the accident caused traffic congestion but there were no reports of shootings, lynching or uncontrollable sobbing.
