The Guardia Civil arrested a repeat offender in Salobreña accused of breaking into the sports facilities last month.
The 29-year-old suspect allegedly broke into Los Trances sports ground during the early hours of the 25th of August.
According to the police, the man jumped over the 2m-high, perimeter fence and made his way the office where he broke the window to gain access. Once inside, again according to the police, he smashed a security camera and stole the computer.
Unfortunately for the burglar, the damage caused to the security camera wasn’t enough to prevent it recording him breaking in; footage that the Guardia Civil used to identify him.
They then managed to discover where he had hidden the computer; in the Guadalfeo riverbed near the sports installations. The police have since returned it to its rightful owner.
