Salobreña Road Work Disruption

SAL Roundabout RoadworksA trip into the top end of Salobreña will reveal roadworks going on at the main roundabout; i.e., Plaza Goya, where the Tourist Information Office is.

Whilst traffic heading up onto the roundabout is unaffected, you can’t drive down in the direction of the beach. What you have to do is follow the route that the Alsina buses take when they come into town; that’s to say, behind the schools.

The work is being carried out by the Mancomunidad de la Costa Tropical on the main connection with the Molvízar sewage system.

The Town Hall had to authorise this very necessary work but opted to wait until San Juan had come and gone,  but before the main summer crush begins, so it should be finished by the beginning of next week.

Mayor Rufino explained that there is another job being carried out nearby, namely the replacing of roof tiles on the Colegio Mayor Zaragoza. This work has been in the pipeline for a while, too, but it had to wait until the schools broke up and will continue throughout most of the Summer.
