We’re all pretty aware of the ‘most popular’ driving fines, such as using a mobile, etc, but there are seven that you might not know about.
For example, flashing the car in front to indicate that you’re going to overtake can earn you an 80-euro fine.
Flipping the bird or the more British, giving the V-sign, to another driver can also get you an 80-euro fine.
There’s also the expensive kiss; 80 euros to be exact – a driver cannot kiss the co-pilot. However if can manage to kiss somebody in the rear passenger seats you might get a medal.
God forbid that the traffic police – especially the bikers – catch you with something dangling from you rearview mirror or bobble heads on your dashboard because that can get you up to 300 euros.
You can’t scratch your ear in a prolonged manner, either, as this can be considered as using a mobile phone – it’s your word against the police officer’s and guess whose one counts – 80 euros, Ladies and Gentlemen!
If you’re caught with your arm dangling out of the window that’s 100 euros. If it is the one you change gears with, it might get you a silver in the Contortionists Olympics as well.
Lastly, turning your head more than 45 degrees will get you a 100-euro fine. shaking your head in disbelief can be expensive, therefore.
