The Policía Nacional in Motril are investigating the discovery of a body on Sunday the 23rd in the vega not far from the Ronda Sur road.

The body, which was fully clothed but in an advanced state of decomposition, was discovered by a farmer amongst a clump of wild sugarcane.

In fact, such was the deteriorated state of the body that it is impossible to say without an autopsy if it belonged to a man or a woman.

The body was taken to the Instituto de Medicina Legal in Granada to be examined first thing Monday morning.
