Both Infocostatropical and the Ideal newspaper’s online edition have reported on a 3-year-old toddler in a swimming-pool accident in Almuñécar.

Information is still scarce but the child was evacuated from the Municipal Sports Stadium by helicopter around 12.30h to the Motril area hospital in a serious state yesterday afternoon.

The child, who was found by a family member in the pool within the garden of a cortijo on the Loma de Gato, was first rushed to the Almuñécar Medical Centre before being flown to Motril.
