There was a fire in Nerja’s main surface parking (Huertos de Carabeo) at the end of last month involving two vehicles.

The Fire Service, Guardia Civil and Policía Local were soon at the scene but nevertheless the fire crew were unable to save the cars, which ended up completely burnt out. In fact, quite a large amount of foam was used because of the fuel tanks.

The incident caused a bit of consternation because of the towering column of black smoke.
