Salobreña Blue Zones are in force, although thanks to the new hotel area work, there are fewer Blue-Zone spaces this year.

The whole of the paseo and part of Avenida del Mediterráneo will be Blue-Zone as in previous up until the 15th of September, but with some exceptions.

Owing to the said hotel-area work, next to Parque de la Fuente, there will be 100 fewer Blue-Zone spaces, compared with last year’s 650.

The main change is that from the Avenida del Mediterráneo roundabout up to the Casa de la Cultura, the Blue Zone won’t be operative, and from Chiringuito Casa Emilio to the end of the paseo the Blue Zone will end on the 1st of September; in other words, 15 days before the rest finishes.

The rest will be the same as last year, running from 10.00h to 21.00h everyday. The same parking rates will also be in force; i.e., one centime per minute up to a maximum occupation time of five hours.

As for paying for the ticket, you can either do it at the parking meters or via the mobile application, called El parking.

The advantage of the mobile application is that you don’t have to go back to the car to change the ticket; you just use the app to purchase more time The other advantage this year is that businesses can buy virtual parking tickets for their customers.
