A young woman fell to her death whilst climbing the rock face of the Tajo de los Vados; that’s the Vélez de Benaudalla canyon along the N323.

The accident occurred on Christmas Day when she plummeted from a height of 100 metres. It seems that she was not using a safety rope.

The emergency number 112 received a call at 13.50h, who immediately contacted the Guardia Civil and dispatched an ambulance. The medical crew could only confirm that she was dead.
