Flashmob Ends in Arrests

SPN Flashmob TerroristsThe Catalan regional police arrested five, German, holiday-group monitors for creating total panic in the streets of Castell-Platja d’Aro (Girona).

The young women, aged between 20 and 25, had organized a flashmob to simulate “a celebrity fleeing from Paprazzis along the seafront promenade.”

Unfortunately, as they were waving toy guns and shoutng, members of the public interpreted all the running about and shouting as a terrorist attack and chaos ensued.

The incident occurred at 22.00h on Tuesday the 2nd when the police began receiving calls from panicking members of the public reporting a terrorist incident; i.e. a shooting incident.

Amazingly, during the incident eleven people had to be treated for minor injuries and panic attacks, fruit of falls and minor tachyarrhythmia (racing heartbeat).
