The work, which has a budget of 60,000, is designed to annoy as many people as possible – nah, just joking – and will replace about 1,300 sq/m of paving stones in a deteriorated state.
A local company, Joanfra, will carry out the work, which will also include the construction of a roundabout… as well as sorting out the rain drains.
I won’t point out that 60,000 euros is exactly 10-million pesetas… whoops! I just did.
When it’s all finished, the junction there will finally make some sense and… that end of the paseo will match in design and colours the rest of the paseo.
The relevant councillor says that the work “should” be finished before summer, coinciding with the completion of the renovation work being carried out on the nearby chiringuito.
