A La-Herradura woman was arrested and taken to the Medical Centre for psychiatric evaluation after a stabbing incident in the village.

Alerted by neighbours the Policía Local, backed up by the Guardia Civil went to a house and found a 41-year-old man with several knife wounds. He said that the person who had caused them was his sister.

The accused, 30-year-old M.V.M.V. appears to be suffering from a mental condition – she allegedly assaulted her brother, without warning, whilst he was having lunch, stabbing him in the back before leaving the house.

The municipal police, in a separate incident in La Herradura, arrested 37-year-old J.C.R.A. over a possible domestic-violence incident.

Again, the police had been alerted by neighbours and had sent a patrol to the house. After interviewing the victim, they arrested her partner who is now awaiting an appearance before a magistrate.
