There was no mountain goat on the restaurant menu, but there was one in the dining room looking lost.
It all started with dozens of calls from drivers around 11.15h on the 14th, calling from the Ronda Sur road to say that there was a mountain goat loose, trotting along in the opposite direction to the traffic.
The Policia Local spent literally hours trying to capture it and nearly did so on the Camino Bajo de Huétor, but it dodged them and ended up inside a pizzeria.
Before it could reserve a table, the panting policeman, with the help of the startled chef, managed to finally trap it.
Instead of being carted off to the kitchen, it was taken instead to the Centro de Recuperación de Especies Amenazadas.
