Salobreña Dog Campaign

SAL Dog Campaign OnLSalobreña has launched a campaign to make locals aware of the problem of dog excrement on pavements. It’s entitled: No Seas Perro.

In other words, don’t be a dog. In fact, it is a play on words on Pablo Neruda’s “Te quiero mi amor, no seas perra, espérame.

Anyway, whatever!

The campaign oscillates between appealing to people’s civic sensibilities and reminding them that not retrieving dog droppings could cost them up to 500 euros in fines.

It’s not just about the inconvenience of having something smelly stuck to the bottom of your shoe, but also the possibility of slipping over on one and doing yourself damage.

Finally, the third phase of the campaign – a couple of months away – will see a special dog area in the Parque de la Libertad.
