The Almuñécar Casa de la Cultura was completely sold out for the VII Gala del Día Internacional de la Danza.

The show was put on by dancers from Escuela Profesional Arte Danza de Almuñécar and the Escuela Profesional Opera Danza de Motril.

There were over a hundred pupils from the two schools on stage during the performance – not all at the same time, of course!

The most spectacular part, perhaps, was the adaption of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, Cats. Fantastic makeup and costumes and a lot of work put into this musical treat.

Not unnaturally, the show received a standing ovation.
