At this time of the year a focus on responsible pet ownership is at the forefront in most municipalities in Spain – Motril is no exception.
The townsfolk were treated to an enjoyable dog-handling demonstration from Canine Brigade of the Málaga Policia Nacional in the Parque de las Provincias on Saturday the 20th.
This was just one activity within the campaign entitled: No Le Des La Espalda al Problema (Don’t Turn Your Back on The Problem), which aims to heighten awareness of the civil responsibilities of owning a pet, as well as how to care for them.
“We all want a cleaner town; to be able to stroll through the gardens and parks in our town, which is why everybody’s collaboration is vital,” said the Mayor.
Why the title of this article? Because one of the other activities was a race between teams made up of a dog owner and his dog; hence, Run with Me.
