Climbing into a lions’ den is prejudicial to your health… and so is smoking, but regardless of signs reminding us not to, people still do it.

A man at the Barcelona Zoo was severely injured after climbing into the lions’ pit.

The gentleman, not unsurprisingly, was dragged by a couple of lionesses into the tunnel of the den. It seems that the big cats were no put off by his civilian-use military clothes.

Firemen and Zoo staff managed to drag him – most of him – back out again after turning the hoses onto the ‘playful kittens.’

Apparently, its not the first time that the man has carried out political protests at the zoo but it is the first time that he has expressed his opinion to a lion’s tonsils.
