Ex-judge, Adelina Entrena Carrillo was found dead at her home in Motril on the 22nd of August.

The 54-year-old judge had been barred permanently from practicing in 2010 for keeping an acquitted man in prison, as well as other instances of “serious misconduct.” Up until then she had presided over the Number One Law Court in Motril for many years.

Concerned neighbours had contacted the Policía Nacional who gained access to the dwelling and found her body. Preliminary investigates do not indicate homicide. Police are waiting for the autopsy report to conclude their investigation.

Lately she had spent a lot of time in Almuñécar, where she had passed much of her childhood – her family were the owners of the old Baza Ceuta on Calle Vélez.

Apart from her professional problems, she had also been assailed by the loss of loved ones in recent years.

Adelina Entrena, who had turned 54 on the 15th of August, had been quite active on the social-media networks and had recently left the following remark: Life is really beautiful but there comes a time when it stops being “life” – I’m sorry.
